The owner's account
Create Adjoa's account in Supabase Auth with a strong password from your password manager, switch off public sign-ups, and prove with a "stranger test" that nobody else can create an account.
Why this matters
Before you can build a login page, there has to be someone to log in. In this lesson you create that someone, Adjoa, by hand, in the Supabase dashboard. You do it by hand on purpose: it involves a password, and passwords never go through AI chats, including the Supabase MCP.
Then you do the step most beginner tutorials forget. Supabase projects allow anyone to create an account by default. That's right for apps with customer accounts, and wrong for Adjoa's Kitchen. If you leave it on, a stranger could create their own account and, depending on how carefully the rest was built, walk straight into the back office. You'll switch it off and, as always in this course, prove it's off.
