Goal

Create your website's Next.js project with one command, see it running on your laptop, find your way around its folders, and give Cursor your brief and your project rules.

Why this matters

Every website you'll build in this course starts the same way: one command that creates a complete, working project in a couple of minutes. Professional developers start exactly like this. Nobody builds the foundations of a house by hand when a ready-made frame is available.

By the end of this lesson your website will be running on your own laptop. It won't be your website yet; it will be the Next.js starter page. But it will be real, it will be yours to change, and you'll change your first words on it before the lesson ends.

You'll also set up two files that make every AI prompt from now on better: your brief, so Cursor knows what to build, and your project rules, so Cursor knows how to build it. In Module 2 you learned that this is Level 5, the System. Today you put it in place.
