Goal

Add an email field to the order form, and send every customer who gives their email a branded confirmation in Adjoa's Kitchen colours, tested by ordering with your own address.

Why this matters

Think about the last time you ordered something online and didn't get a confirmation. You probably wondered whether it worked. Maybe you ordered again, or phoned. A confirmation email removes that doubt in one second. For Adjoa, it means fewer "did you get my order?" calls during the lunch rush.

It's also the email that shows off your work. Adjoa's notification can be plain, because she only needs the facts. The customer's email carries the restaurant's brand: its colours, its name, its friendly tone. Clients notice. A good confirmation email makes a small business look established, and it's one of the details that makes your websites worth paying for.

You'll also learn why designing emails is different from designing web pages, and how to make one that looks right in Gmail, Outlook and on a phone.
