Follow up, and handle "no" and "too expensive"
Follow up on every lead on a clear, polite schedule, answer the eight objections you'll hear most without arguing or discounting yourself, and learn something from every "no".
Why this matters
Business owners are busy. Your first message arrives while they're serving a customer, cooking, or dealing with a supplier. They read it, think "interesting, later", and forget. That's not a no. It's a "not now", and most of your clients will come from a polite follow-up, not from a reply to your first message.
But there's a line between following up and pestering. Cross it and you damage your name in your city. This lesson gives you a schedule that stays on the right side of that line, and calm answers for the things people say before they say yes, or before they say a final no.
Hearing "no" is part of this work for everyone, including experienced designers. It isn't a verdict on you or your skill. Each one tells you something about the market, your message or your timing, and your tracker turns those lessons into better results next month.
